1. Why did you select the sites you subscribed to?
I selected the websites I subscribed to because they provide information that I am interested in, whether it being some form of news or just something for entertainment.
2. Was it easy to find feeds and to subscribe to them?
Some of these feeds were easy to find while others were not. Some websites have RSS feeds, but not all do. Digg Reader has a feature where you can browse different categories that interest you and it provides a list of websites in that particular category that have RSS feeds, which makes finding websites much easier.
3. Which sites were your favorites?
One of my favorite websites is This is Why I'm Broke. This website has very interesting, new products that are not likely to be found anywhere else. I also enjoy NASA because it has an image of the day feature that I subscribed to and everyday and it either provides an image or fact about NASA.
4. What else can you use RSS feeds for?
RSS feeds are really good to use to be on top of the latest news. I'm sure they are put to good use in certain jobs and careers where people need to follow what is going on in a particular field. They would also be good for school because subscribing to educational websites is beneficial and you can even subscribe to your own school website if it has an RSS feed.
5. How likely are you to continue to use RSS feeds in the future?
I will continue to use RSS feeds because they are very helpful and convenient. Having a reader that can display all of your subscriptions is also very helpful because it puts all of the information in one place. I did not know of RSS feeds before this assignment, but now that I do, I will use them in the future.
